Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Education Reviews is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring that all published content is original, properly attributed, and free from plagiarism. We take a zero-tolerance approach to plagiarism and unethical academic practices.
Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism occurs when an author deliberately or unintentionally presents someone else’s work, ideas, or expressions as their own, without proper acknowledgment or citation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, data, figures, or other material from previously published work without proper citation.
- Paraphrasing or rewriting substantial parts of another's work without giving due credit.
- Self-plagiarism, which refers to the use of one’s previously published work in a new submission without citation or significant modification.
- Duplicate publication of the same content in multiple journals without proper disclosure.
Prevention Measures:
To uphold academic integrity, the journal employs the following measures:
- Plagiarism Detection Software: All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous plagiarism screening using specialized detection tools to ensure originality.
- Author’s Declaration: Authors are required to declare that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere in any form, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
- Citing Sources: Proper attribution must be given for all references, including direct quotes, paraphrases, or the use of another author’s ideas.
Handling Cases of Plagiarism:
In the event that plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the following steps will be taken:
- Minor Plagiarism: For minor instances (e.g., accidental lack of citation or improper paraphrasing), the author will be contacted and asked to make necessary corrections before further review.
- Major Plagiarism: For significant cases of plagiarism, including extensive copying or fraudulent submission, the manuscript will be immediately rejected or, if already published, retracted from the journal.
- Notification: The author’s institution or affiliated research body may be informed in serious cases of academic misconduct.
Post-Publication Actions:
If plagiarism is identified after a paper has been published, the journal reserves the right to take the following actions:
- Issue a public retraction of the article.
- Publish a statement indicating the reasons for the retraction.
- Blacklist authors from future submissions to the journal for a determined period.
Author Responsibility:
Authors bear full responsibility for the integrity and originality of their submissions. By submitting to the Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Education Reviews, authors agree to adhere to this plagiarism policy and ensure that all submitted work meets the journal's ethical standards.
The journal remains dedicated to promoting original research and safeguarding the ethical conduct of scholarly communication.
