Peer-Review Policy

The Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Education Reviews follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original research and contributions to the field of education. Our peer-review policy upholds the integrity of scholarly communication by maintaining transparency, fairness, and confidentiality throughout the evaluation process.

Types of Peer Review:

The journal adopts a double-blind peer-review process, where:

  • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
  • Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.

This ensures that the review process is unbiased and based solely on the quality of the submitted manuscript.

Peer-Review Process:

  1. Initial Screening:

    • Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the journal’s editorial team to assess its relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines and ethical standards.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements or fall outside its scope may be desk-rejected at this stage.
  2. Reviewer Selection:

    • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to two or more expert reviewers based on their expertise in the subject matter.
    • Reviewers are selected for their qualifications, research experience, and knowledge in the relevant field of education.
  3. Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

    • Originality: Is the research novel and does it contribute new insights or findings to the field?
    • Relevance: Does the paper address significant issues in education, teaching, and learning?
    • Methodology: Are the research methods sound, and are the data analysis and results well-supported?
    • Clarity: Is the manuscript well-structured, with clear arguments, logical conclusions, and proper citation of sources?
    • Implications: Does the research have practical implications for education practitioners or policymakers?
  4. Review Outcomes: Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept: The manuscript is accepted with or without minor revisions.
    • Revise: The author is invited to revise the manuscript based on the reviewers’ feedback and resubmit it for further consideration.
    • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication due to significant flaws or lack of contribution to the field.
  5. Revision and Resubmission: If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised version of the manuscript addressing the reviewers' comments and suggestions within the specified time frame. The revised manuscript may undergo further review to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed.

  6. Final Decision: The editorial team makes the final decision on publication based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of revisions, and the overall contribution of the paper to the journal’s aims and scope.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and the review process. They are not permitted to discuss or disclose any information about the manuscript.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their objectivity in reviewing the manuscript.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to provide feedback within the agreed-upon time frame to ensure a prompt and efficient review process.

Appeals:

Authors who wish to appeal a rejection decision may submit a formal appeal letter to the editorial board, providing a detailed justification for reconsideration. Appeals will be reviewed by the editorial team and, in some cases, by additional reviewers.

The Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Education Reviews is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly review and ensuring that all published work reflects thorough, ethical, and high-quality research.
